New Delhi, September 11, 2026: The 12th Edition of the India Legal Awards 2026 was successfully concluded on September 11, 2026, at The Park, New Delhi, bringing together leading legal professionals, law firms, in-house counsel, general counsels, legal teams and distinguished members of India’s legal fraternity.

Organized by Biz Integration, the prestigious awards recognized outstanding contributions, professional excellence, innovation and leadership across the legal and corporate legal ecosystem. The event provided a distinguished platform to acknowledge individuals, teams and organizations that have made significant contributions to the evolving landscape of law and legal services in India.

The 12th Edition of the India Legal Awards continued its tradition of “Recognizing Excellence in India’s Legal Fraternity with an Eminent Jury Comprising the Nation’s Most Respected Legal Minds.” The awards brought together an eminent jury and a distinguished gathering of legal professionals from across the country.

The distinguished jury comprised eminent personalities from India’s legal, corporate and diplomatic spheres, including Hon’ble Shri Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General of India; Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President, Society of Indian Law Firms and Immediate Past President of the Bar Association of India; Shri Mahaveer Singhvi, Consulate General of India in Toronto and former Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India; Balakrishna Gopalakrishnan, Founder, BGK Law Associates, Advocates and Legal Advisors; and Dr. Sanjeev Gemawat, Managing Director & Group General Counsel, Essar.

The awards recognized achievements across a wide spectrum of legal practice areas, industries and professional categories, reflecting the growing diversity and specialization of India’s legal profession.

Among the notable award recipients, Poornima Ranganath of Law Assist was recognized as Managing Partner of the Year, while TLH, Advocates & Solicitors received the Regional Law Firm of the Year – Hyderabad award. Zeeshan A Khan of Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India was recognized as Best Intellectual Property Lawyer, and LegalShield received the Innovative Law Firm of the Year award.

Lexicon Law Partners was recognized as Real Estate Law Firm of the Year as well as Litigation Dispute Resolution Law Firm of the Year. Dikshat Mehra of Rajani Associates received the Up & Rising Lawyer of the Year award, while Lex Commerci Advocates and Legal Consultants was recognized as Regional Law Firm of the Year – Chandigarh.

The awards also celebrated excellence in litigation, corporate advisory, white-collar criminal defense, intellectual property, energy and infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, compliance and in-house legal functions.

P&S Associates was recognized as Emerging Law Firm of the Year, while Naks & Associates (Advocates & Solicitors) received the White Collar Criminal Defense Law Firm of the Year award. Akhil Krishan Maggu of Lex Works Legal Associates LLP was named Litigation Lawyer of the Year, and Chaudhary & Chaudhary Advocates and Solicitors received the Litigation Law Firm of the Year award.

In the corporate legal and general counsel categories, Ramesh Babu of TTK Prestige Ltd. was recognized as Legal Counsel of the Year – Manufacturing (Kitchen Appliances), while Sweta Bharucha of Generali Central Life Insurance Company Ltd. received the General Counsel of the Year – Insurance award.

Namisha Chadha, Independent Legal Counsel, was recognized as Legal Counsel of the Year (Female). L. Ravichander, Senior Counsel, received the Lifetime Achievement Award – Law Firms, recognizing his distinguished contribution to the legal profession.

The awards also recognized emerging talent and young professionals. Surabhi Iyer of Sagar Chandra & Associates received the Best Young Achiever – Law Firm award, while Anubhav Nayyar of Trident Group India was recognized as Outstanding General Counsel of the Year – Textile Manufacturing.

Several awards highlighted the important role played by legal professionals in specialized industry sectors. Debasmita Gupta of Himatsingka Seide Ltd. was recognized as General Counsel of the Year – Manufacturing (Textile), while Jitendra Jangir of HealthKart received the General Counsel of the Year – E-Commerce award.

Suzlon Energy Ltd. was recognized as Legal Team of the Year – Energy Services, while PhonePe Ltd. received the Best IP Law Team of the Year – In-House award. Zydus Wellness Ltd. was recognized as Legal & Compliance Team of the Year – FMCG.

Other notable recipients included S. Jalan & Co. Advocates for Best Legal Advisory Service; Samar Bhatia of Hero MotoCorp for Best Compliance In-House Counsel – Automobile Industry; Hammurabi and Solomon Partners for M&A Team of the Year; and Nitish Gupta of HSA Advocates for Best Energy and Infrastructure Lawyer.

The awards further recognized Rajnish Ranjan of CNH Industrial India Pvt. Ltd. as Best In-House Counsel – Heavy Manufacturing Industry, and Gauri Parab of Hexaware Technologies Ltd. as Legal Counsel of the Year – Business Legal Advisory Service.

In other sector-specific categories, Shakeel Syed of John Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. was recognized as General Counsel of the Year – Manufacturing (Distilleries). Majesty Legal Services received the Legal Team of the Year – BPO & KPO Industry award.

Dr. Amit Gupta of Purvah Green Power Pvt. Ltd. (RP Sanjiv Goenka Group) was recognized as Legal Counsel of the Year – Renewable Energy. Hexaware Technologies Ltd. was recognized for Legal Team of the Year – IT, with Aritra Chaudhury also recognized in the IT legal team category. Sonata Software Ltd. received the Legal Team of the Year – IT award, while Tata Steel Ltd. was recognized as Legal Team of the Year – Manufacturing.
